Lecture :

Topic - Poster Design

This week lecture, the lecturer introduced us to the 7 principles of poster design. By learning the design principles, it helps to create an effective and attractive composition. 

1. Emphasis - focus on the most important part to grab attention such as "Title" and "Main Image"

2. Balance and Alignment - arrange elements evenly to create visual stability and order

3. Contrast - use differences in colour, size, fonts to make elements stand out and improve readability

4. Repetition - repeat design elements like shapes or fonts to create a cohesive look

5. Proposition - maintain a harmonious size relationship between elements to avoid clutter

6. Movement - lead the viewer's eye through the poster in a logical flow, guiding them to key information

7. White Space - empty space helps the design breathe and makes everything easier to read
