Feedbacks

Week 11

The sketches are fine, can continue with the line art.

Week 12

Instead of grey, consider using a brownish tone for the rocks on the path to make them feel more natural. After making the adjustment, everything looks better. Can proceed with the colouring.

Week 13

The shading and highlights are well done. May proceed with the animation stage.

Week 14

The video pacing can be improved by shortening it to 16–17 seconds and slightly speeding up the audio to better match the visuals. Also, replacing dip-to-black transitions with cross-fades for a smoother flow. After making the adjustment, the work is ready for submission.

Reflections

What I really enjoyed the most in Task 4 : Final Project (Animated Video with Caption) was the process of turning my sketches into fully coloured and animated scenes. Seeing the visuals slowly come together and combining them with sound and captions was very satisfying, as it helped me understand the whole animation workflow better. Working with different software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and CapCut also gave me more confidence in handling digital illustration and basic animation.

However, after reviewing my submission and receiving feedback, I realised that the video pacing could be improved by making it shorter and slightly faster. The audio timing could also be adjusted to match the visuals better, and using cross-fade transitions instead of dip-to-black would make the overall animation feel smoother and more polished.
